Parents! We've Updated Our Operating Rules

We’ve made a few updates over the winter to our Operating Rules. In general, these rules are put in place to ensure the safe and sanitary operation of pool facilities and to provide enjoyable recreation for all members and their guests.

Here are the sections that have changed that apply to your young swimmers:

SECTION III - RULES APPLYING SPECIFICALLY TO CHILDREN

1.    No children under 10 years of age will be admitted to the pool area unless accompanied by either an adult or by a sitter who is age 15 or older.

2.    Any child under 10 years of age who has not passed the basic swimming test requirement shown in Rule #3 below, shall be supervised by an adult or the designated sitter while in the water.

3.    Children age 10 through 12 may swim alone, provided:

a.    They are able to pass the basic swimming test:

(1)  Swim one length of the pool.

(2) Float for one minute or tread water for one minute.

b.    If the above conditions are not met, a child must be accompanied by either an adult or a sitter who is age 16 or older.

SECTION IV - GENERAL POOL RULES

1.    SLIDE AND DIVING RULES

a.    Diver must demonstrate to the guard that they can pass the swim test (swim one length of the pool and float for one minute or tread water for one minute) in order to use the diving board.
