2017 Fox Hunt Splash!
We are the Fox Hunt Splash! of Springfield, Virginia. We are currently in Division 13 of the Northern Virginia Swimming League. The team is comprised of our Mini-Splash! and Splash! swimmers between the ages of 3 and 18. Our goal is not only to make each and every swimmer better but to grow their self-confidence and most importantly have fun. Practices begin after Memorial Day and will run through the end of July with two meets per week. We hope your family makes the decision to join the Fox Hunt Splash!

NVSL Division 13 Standings
Two practice schedules are posted below, one for during the school year and one for summer vacation. As the pool will be very crowded during afternoon practices, for safety reasons only swimmers who are able to swim multiple laps (25 meters) consecutively will be allowed to practice. All others will start when morning practices begin.
After-school practice times for weekdays May 30 through June 23:
13 and up: 4:30 – 5:30 PM
9 to 12 year olds: 5:30 – 6:15 PM
8 and under: 6:15 – 7:00 PM
Morning practice times for weekdays starting June 26 through July 28**
13 and up: TBD, see Coach
9 to 12 year olds: 9:00 – 9:50 AM
8 and Under***: 10:00 – 10:45 AM
* As the demographics of the Swim Team become finalized during the first few weeks of practice, we may need to make adjustments to the practice sessions shown above based upon either age groups or individual abilities. This is in order to make the workload more equitable for the coaching staff and the practices more meaningful for the swimmers.
** Practices from July 24 through July 28 will be only for those swimmers who have qualified to swim in Divisionals and alternates. For all other swimmers, the last day of practice is July 21.
In order to come to afternoon practices, swimmers must be able to swim several consecutive 25-meter laps (can take short rests on the wall). This is a safety issue because the after school practices are very crowded since we only use a few lanes. For morning practices, to be on the team, swimmers must be able to swim across the deep end unassisted and comfortably (but in any stroke). The coaches will be happy to evaluate any swimmer whose parents are not sure about whether he/she meets these qualifications.
